AHF Rwanda – About Us

AHF Rwanda launched its operations in 2006 with six sites and has since expanded to support 38 health facilities across 11 districts. Partnering with the Government of Rwanda and the Ministry of Health, AHF collaborates with the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC) to combat the HIV epidemic, emphasizing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy for all, regardless of their ability to pay.

Currently, AHF Rwanda offers a comprehensive range of services, including HIV prevention, counseling, testing, and integrated non-communicable disease (NCD) services. The organization prioritizes condom education and distribution, providing over 5 million condoms annually through its condom kiosks. Additionally, free Voluntary Medical Circumcision (VMMC) services are available at all 38 supported sites.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), Los Angeles-based, is a global nonprofit organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to 2 million people in over 47 countries.

AHF funds its mission to rid the world of AIDS through a network of pharmacies, thrift stores, healthcare contracts and other strategic partnerships. Generating new, innovative ways of treatment, prevention and advocacy has been the hallmark of our success.

Since 1987, AHF has cared for thousands of people living with HIV and AIDS worldwide. As we create and implement new programs in communities across the U.S. and abroad, we expand delivery of healthcare and influence over policy with the aim of saving more lives.
